Noël Janis-Norton Presents "Parenting Children and Teens with Special Needs"
Parenting children and teens with special needs is rewarding, challenging and often overwhelming. You need an additional set of skills to bring out their best and to help you stay calm. Come discover simple, positive and highly effective ways to improve behavior while avoiding he common traps of reminding, repeating and lecturing. You'll leave with specific strategies you can use right away to rapidly improve:
 - behaviour, cooperation and impulse control
 - confidence, self-reliance and self-esteem
 - the ability to handle frustration more constructively
 - learning skills, social skills and transitioning between activities

About the organiser:

Suzanne Ferera is a registered Occupational Therapist and a registered Calmer, Easier, Happier Parenting practitioner. Suzanne is a mother of 3 children and splits her time between her Calmer, Easier, Happier parenting practice and as a Family Counsellor for the Vancouver Family Preservation and Reunification services. About the speaker:

This is the first visit to Canada of Noël Janis-Norton, creator of "Calmer, Easier, Happier Parenting,". She is an internationally renowned expert on the learning and behavior of children. For 40 years, Noël has been sharing her unique techniques with hundreds of thousands of parents and teachers on both sides of the Atlantic through seminars, trainings and consultations, helping them learn positive and practical techniques that result in more cooperative, confident, motivated, self-reliant and considerate children both at home and in the classroom.
